Optical Bonding:
Passive Optical Enhancements greatly improve
the performance of light-emitting displays in high ambient light environments.
Optical bonding is, in essence, the sealing of two optical components together
by means of an optically compliant adhesive. Optical bonding uses a
carefully selected optical grade silicone gel that combines superior optical
performance with proven endurance in adverse environmental conditions.
The goal of optical bonding is to reduce or eliminate reflection problems that
hinder the proper function of displays in ambient light conditions. Optical
bonding gives the look and feel of enhancing the NIT brightness and
contrast ratio of a display by reducing ambient light washout. It also
functions as a protective layer for the display, protecting it from damage due
to vibration, shock, and deliberate tampering. It is also versatile enough
to be combined with film and other types of display enhancements, surpassing
the effect either can achieve alone. Different bonded glass thicknesses
are available dependent upon project requirements.
Brightness Enhancement Film:
Brightness Enhancement Films are used to reflect the back light out towards
the panel and increase the efficiency of the LCD panel backlight. Most panels
usually are only about 62-68% efficient and our process increases the backlight
efficiency to 98-99%.
